The 2017 NFL Draft

The 2017 NFL draft is today and I am kinda excited for it because my favorite sport is football and I am also excited to see who the Chicago Bears get. The past two years the draft was in Down town Chicago but currently today it will be held in Philadelphia. The Bears select 3rd overall the 1st team to select is the Cleveland Browns. The draft works like this the team that had the worst standings last season pick first overall then the second team who had the worst standings also the past season picks 2nd overall then so on and so on.

The team that won the SuperBowl picks last in the first round since they don't need that much help as the first team who picks first. In my opinion I think the Bears who pick 3rd overall will either get these two players you can only pick one player when you select I think the Bears will get either an offensive player QB Deshaun Watson from Clemson or a linebacker/a defensive back  Jabrill Peppers from Michigan State. A reason why I say the Bears will get Deshaun Watson is because the Bears need a quarterback the quarterbacks that they have now are not that good they need somebody young and who can learn not a quarterback who is already been in the league so the Bears need someone skilled so Deshaun Watson would be a great pick. A reason why I say the Bears might get Jabrill peppers is the Bears on defense are not that good they need help and Jabrill Peppers will do just that he is a skilled player and would improve the Bears defense. If the Bears get either one of these players they have the possibility of becoming a new innovative football team .These are my predictions on who the Bears will get in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Million Dollar Throw

 The book that I read was called the "Million Dollar Throw" it is about a kid named Nate Brodie who is starting quarterback for his 8th grade football team. When he plays football he wants to be relevant and make a difference in his team.  He has a friend who's name is Abby she is starting to go blind and there both scared and worried. One day Nate and his mom go to the mall and Nate sees a stand that's by a company called SportStuff the sign says that if you can make a Throw from the 30 yard line into a target then you win a million dollars. During this time Nate signs up and is given a number so when they announce the number on TV you can see if you won or not and the chances of winning were really small. But Nate heard his number and was selected to attempt to throw the football into the target a couple of days before Thanksgiving. But before this Nate goes through hard times with his friend Abby and his parents have problems with paying bills and keeping there house. I will not say if Nate made the throw.

 My personal reflection to this book is I enjoyed this book and the great detail in it. I liked the detail because it shows how each character was feeling during hard times and what type of life they were going through. Another thing that I like about this book is how the story is set up and in what way it goes and the things that are contained in it. Another thing that I like about this book is how it's connected to football because football is my favorite sport so I also like that. Another reason why I picked this book is because this story seems like it could happen in real life so I like the realism. One thing that I kinda didn't like about the book is how it didn't really have a lot parts were it talked about how Nate did in school or if he was having trouble in school. Overall I like this book and it's detail and I recommend this book to people who like football,realistic fiction.

Things I Enjoy about Spring

 Things that I enjoy about spring is seeing that the weather is nice and that the sun comes out earlier so it's a nice to start of the day like that. Another thing that I enjoy about spring is how the weather feels and it's just a nice atmosphere. I also like spending time with my family I enjoy the interaction when the weather is nice because it's good when I spend time with my family I feel happy around them. Another thing I like about Spring is that it is a sign that the school year is very close to being done so I like that feeling but I also get a little scared because I am going off to high school and I won't be in Heritage anymore. Knowing that the school year is almost done I enjoy the time and live day by day. I also like spring because it's another sign that summer is on it's way and I really enjoy summer because I can finally relax and not think about school. The things I don't like about spring is sometimes my eye itches and it bothers me but that haven't happened to me recently. Another thing that I don't like about spring is sometimes it rains and I know spring involves a lot of rain but when it rains and it looks gloomy outside it's not nice to see and it lowers people's moods. Overall I really enjoy spring and I and the things it has to offer like the scenery and spending time with your family spring is great.

The Chicago Bears

In this blog I am going to analyze the Chicago Bears. I will be talking about what I think about there past seasons and my predictions for the upcoming season. So I will start off with the team in general the Bears aren't the worst team in the NFL. The bears have some good qualities like they are successful running the football because of Jordan Howard who was second in rushing last year. The Bears also have an okay defense when everyone is healthy not when there's a bunch of back ups then the defense isn't good only when the starters are on defense. Now I am going to talk about the past season last season for the Bears was bad they started off the season okay then after the Halloween game against the Minnesota Vikings which they played really good in then the bye week came and after that the Bears weren't too good. Injuries messed up the Bears a lot and also player suspensions. In conclusion I hope that the Bears have a good upcoming season I hope they go 10-6 and make the wildcard.

The Freedom Writers

 The movie was freedom writers was a good movie it really showed good perspective about the way the kids saw the world. I also liked the movie because it compared and contrasted most of the kids lives in the class to see whats different about them. I liked it because it really showed good perspective a detail about how the kids are in there gangs and what they have to do to get respect. I also liked how the movie focused some scenes on how the kids lives were and what they had to do in order for them to maintain a stable life. Another detail that I like about the movie was how the setting was setup the movie was being taken place which would be referred to as the ghetto. Another thing that I liked about this movie was that how each student made progress since the begging of the movie. In the beginning of the movie the students hated each other then towards the end of the movie they were like a family and they had a strong bond. So overall I really enjoyed this movie and I would recommend to other people. In conclusion I really liked this movie and how it was made this was really enjoyable.

Slice of Life

 This blog will be about the first time I ever went to six flags. This story starts when when I was 6 or 7 around that time I knew what 6 flags was but I never went there so one day my parents woke me and my older brother up early so we could beat traffic and go to six flags. The drive took about an hour it was exciting to see all the sings because I liked roller coasters and I still do to this day. When I was young I was never scared of heights and I'm still not scared to this day. So when we pulled into the parking lot there decent amount of cars in the parking lot as the day went on more and more people started to come. When me and my family went in and pained and when we entered the park I saw everything I saw the rides the food stands and the gift shops. When I was young I was tall so I had no problem getting onto rides some of them I couldn't get on because I did not meet the age limit.  One of the rides that I remember is at first the ride wasn't functioning correctly when we got on it so we were there for like 5 minutes it wasn't too bad but the ride was good. So when we were about to leave I looked back and was just happy that I went and had that experience.

My Spring Break

 My spring break was great I didn't go out of state or go anywhere really exciting. But I really enjoyed my spring break because I was relaxing and not worrying about school or homework I have to do. Something that was fun was me and my family celebrated my grandmas birthday we went to her house and brought her a cake and the cake was really good. Another thing that's was fun was me and family went out to eat to a place called the Golden Corral we had a good time. After that we went  to a couple of stores just to walk around that was a good day. Something that was cool was I saw a coyote walk near my grandmas house. Overall I really enjoyed my spring break it was phenomenal  I found this time to be relaxing and not  worrying about anything school related. During that week I really that time and I didn't stress myself on thinking about quarter 4 and how I'm almost going to be in high school. So during that time I just took it day by day towards the end I was kinda excited to come back to school and see everyone again so I really enjoyed this spring break.
